Hike up an old volano
A quick hike with a toddler is not always quick, but what I have learned living here is that the only thing you can't live without for a day is water. Children who are just barely past being toddlers spend their days herding livestock in big wildlife areas with no shoes, sometimes no clothes and maybe a small container to collect water. So having every type of snack, spare clothes, a toy etc., Sawyer is learning to live without on every single outing!
The Chuylu hills, which are just behind our camp) are still considered active volcano hills because the last eruption was in 1856. There are hundreds of small flows and cones which are amazing to hike up. The one we climbed here looks over an artists rock sculptures which were build by the local community.
